Synopsis

Anyang, with the population of 650,000 people, means ‘paradise’ in Buddhism. A handful of film crews are busy for making a documentary about the city. They needle to look for the tombs burying the dead from a factory fire in 1988, the ‘Grandma Tree’ that no one remembers now, the excavated roof tile from a Buddhist temple site that may exist 1000 years ago, series of local election campaigns and the Bodhisattva engraved on rock. There are the two issues consequently to remain as the film continues through the whole trace: the life of women in the city and their death.
